EARTH DAY: SATURDAY, APRIL 22, 2017
Over the years, Earth Day has resonated in different ways for me. Sometimes climate change has been at the forefront, or the declining bee population, or the number of animals in shelters needing a home. This year seems to be the heaviest.
So many of our nation’s policies for saving the planet are being challenged or dismantled. We are in the midst of uncertainty. Some days I find myself paralyzed, other days the word that comes to mind is HOPE. I have had to dig deep, to breath and slow down to see the ants marching home, the squirrels hiding their nuts, the crocuses blooming, and the tides and winds of change. The pendulum is swinging…
So, on this Earth Day, take a minute to take a breath, see the sun & moon and choose our planet.
